1.5" Living Stones Succulent

Is it a rock? Is it a succulent? Is it an alien life form? Meet the 1.5" Living Stones Succulent (Lithops), the ultimate botanical conversation starter. Native to the arid deserts of Southern Africa, these fascinating evolutionary geniuses have mastered the art of blending in by disguising themselves as small pebbles to trick hungry desert creatures.

Potted in an ultra-compact 1.5-inch container, Lithops are the undisputed kings of low-maintenance greenery. They grow exceptionally slowly, take up almost zero space, and require so little water that over-caring for them is practically their only enemy. If you love unusual plants or constantly forget to water your green friends, this little guy is your ideal windowsill companion.

Why You’ll Love It

• Uniquely Camouflaged Foliage: Brain-like or pebble-like split leaves in earthy shades of stone grey, copper, rust, and sage green.

• Ultra-Low Maintenance: Extreme drought tolerance means it thrives on neglect and needs minimal watering throughout the year.

• Micro Footprint: Fits into 1.5" pots, making it perfect for tiny windowsills, desktop rock gardens, or space-conscious collections.

• Autumn Flower Surprises: Mature Lithops produce vibrant, daisy-like white or yellow blooms that pop open right through the center fissure in autumn.

Quick Care Guide

• Light: Needs plenty of bright, direct sunlight (4–6 hours daily) to maintain tight growth and prevent stretching.

• Water: Extremely light waterer! Water only when the soil is completely dry and the leaves start to slightly wrinkle. (Do not water while old leaves are shedding!).

• Soil: Requires an exceptionally gritty, fast-draining cactus or mineral soil mix to keep roots dry.

• Temperature: Enjoys warm room temperatures (65°F–80°F / 18°C–27°C); protect strictly from freezing temperatures.
